Jill AND Mary

Jillian Noel Shennessy, born 25th November, 1968 in Canada, is a Canadian actress and musician who has been honored for her outstanding contribution for American television. She was the main character in the American show Law & Order, where she played prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three years. In Crossing Jordan she played Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy is also known for her outstanding performances in RoboCop 3 Most Wanted. The other films she has appeared in comprise Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) and The Acting Class. Her acting career started in 1988, when she and her twin sister were the Callgirls on Dead Ringers. In 1990, she made an appearance in a short stint on Broadway as Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Then, she moved into sci-fi and played Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. In the fall of that year, she joined the crew of the NBC hit crime-drama Law & Order in the part of the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. As part of the show, she captivated audiences for a period of three seasons until the year 1996.
