Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. She is the owner and president of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss, a Californian native has an extremely wealthy background. The father of her Jerry Buss was a real-estate businessman who became manager of the Lakers as well as other sports companies. When she was in the year 1972, her parents separated up and she felt emotionally lost. As a 19-year-old she inherited management of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She was head of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice-president for the Lakers. Buss along with her five sisters took over the Lakers majority ownership following the death of Busshis father in the year 2013. Each of the sisters had an equal voice. Her duties were assumed as president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also owner of a portion of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling group).
